Raindance Shorts

If social media has rotted your attention span and you find yourself squirming in your seat after just a couple minutes sitting for a movie, I empathise. I have friends who can’t last twenty minutes through a movie without whipping out their phones or wanting to change it.
No judgement, either! I do it, too. While I love settling in for a long-form story, there is something a bit more engaging about shorter stories.
At Raindance this year, we vbelieve that shorts are the laboratory of cinema. We’ve curated a 18 Short Programmes that extend the length of a full movie, but are made up of short films. Following an overarching theme, these screenings are where you get the most bang for your buck — several stories in just one sitting.
Spanning all genres and mediums, Short Programmes are the best way to ingest as much variety as you can get from a single ticket. Go ahead! Be bold! Choose your poison! Here’s our list of award winning shorts at Raindance:
